Any VLSI circuit is composed of the very basic unit that is the multiplier. As technology is increasing day by day many new designs are being evolved. As the design becomes bigger more will be the delay in it. If the delay in the basic unit that is multiplier can be decreased then the overall delay in the new designs can be effectively alleviated. There are many multipliers designed so far in the field of VLSI using different methods for its implementation. This paper presents implementation of a Modified Booth multiplier. So far many Modified Booth multipliers are implemented. In all the methods for generating the partial products 'negi' the extra partial product bit is used due to which number of partial products generated will be N/2+1. If this 'negi' bit in the partial products can be avoided and efficient way for generating 2's complement of negative partial product is used which generates conversion signals, and then the number of partial products will decrease to N/2. For addition of partial products the design uses the 4:2 compressors to reduce the complexity in the circuit involved. Keywords

Refractive indices and molar volume of binary liquid mixture of 1,4-dioxane with 1-butanol were measured over the entire composition range at T= (298.15, 303.15, 308.15, 313.15&318) K using Anton Paar and Abbemat Refractometer. Basing empirical formulae and the measured data were utilised to evaluate the molar refraction (Rm), molecular radii (r), internal pressure (πi) along with their excess parameters. The computed results of 'RmE, rE and πiE' were fitted to the Redlich-Kister polynomial equation and focused on the molecular interactions present in the mixture. Keywords

A population-based cross-sectional study was carried out in coastal zone of Visakhapatnam among 170 workers in 41 randomly selected Xerox (photostat) shops. The aim was to evaluate the relations between work with Xerox equipment and the occurrence of eye, nasopharyngeal, skin and general symptoms (often denoted as sick building syndrome (SBS), chronic respiratory symptoms, and respiratory infections. Work with self-copying paper was significantly related to weekly work-related eye, nasopharyngeal and skin symptoms, headache and lethargy, as well as to the occurrence of wheezing, cough, mucus production, sinusitis, and acute bronchitis. Xeroxing was related to nasal irritation, and video display terminal work to eye symptoms, headache, and lethargy. Keywords

Rural development is advocated as a basic strategy for economic development in India. Many rural development programmes have been launched both by the Central and State governments which aimed at improving the condition of the poor people. The governments' policies and programmes have laid emphasis not only on poverty alleviation, but also on generation of employment and income opportunities, provision of infrastructure and basic facilities to meet the needs of the rural poor. To administer the Rural Development Programmes effectively a new administrative set-up, namely, District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), was set up by merging the SFDA and MFAL in 1980. An effort has been made in this article to understand the process of functioning of a DRDA in the implementation of rural development programmes.- Development of Sphere Lapping Attachment for CNC Lathe

Lapping is one of the techniques where form and surface roughness are controlled on surface like flat, cylindrical and spherical shape. Now a days with optimized parameters and the process is being applied to any material and shape which are not subject to plastic deformation due to their own weight or to mechanical load by machining. It is used less for finish and more for form accuracy, such as flatness in the case of flat objects or sphericity in the case of spheres. The parameters optimization is key factor for lapping spherical surface. This paper gives brief about development of Sphere Lapping Attachment for CNC Lathe with Spherical tolerance accuracy within 1 micron for lapping spherical surface with scratch-free, mirror finish high-quality surface. This Attachment is effective on stainless steel and Cobalt Chrome (Co Cr) alloyed metals. Keywords

Substantial increase in automobile theft figures internationally calls on for a robust automobile security system which can offer real time monitoring and control rather than just intimating about theft. In this paper, an embedded system is designed in such a way that, when the owner gets intimation about intrusion he can remotely start or stop the engine and also obtain the image of intruder. This is achieved by interfacing GSM system with ARDUINO. An accelerometer acts as a sensor to intimate towing.References
